BELKYRA® (deoxycholic acid) – injection to improve the appearance of "double chin"

Submental fullness is a gathering of excess fat beneath the chin, commonly known as “double chin.” It can be something you’ve had your whole life due to genetics, or start to appear as you get older or if you gain weight.

What is BELKYRA® (deoxycholic acid) injection 10 mg/mL ?

BELKYRA® is a prescription medicine used in adults to improve the appearance and profile of moderate to severe fat below the chin (submental fat), also called “double chin.”

It is not known if BELKYRA® is safe and effective for use outside of the submental area or in children less than 18 years of age.

BELKYRA® may be right for you if:

  • You’re bothered (unhappy, self-conscious, embarrassed) by fat under the chin, also known as submental fullness
  • You feel the condition makes you look older or heavier than you actually are
  • You don’t want to have surgery
  • You eat well and exercise, but submental fullness does not go away

HOW BELKYRA® WORKS

The active ingredient is synthetic deoxycholic acid. Deoxycholic acid is a naturally occurring molecule in the body that aids in the breakdown and absorption of dietary fat. When injected into the fat beneath the chin, it destroys fat cells, resulting in a noticeable reduction in fullness under the chin. Once destroyed, these cells can no longer store or accumulate fat, so further treatment is not expected once you reach your desired aesthetic goal.

WHAT TO EXPECT WITH BELKYRA®

Before starting treatment, your healthcare specialist will examine the area under and around your chin to determine if BELKYRA® is right for you. Then, your specialist will tailor your treatment to the amount of fat under the chin and your aesthetic goals.

How is BELKYRA® administered?

Treatment can only be administered by a trained healthcare specialist. At each treatment, you will receive multiple small injections under your chin, and the injection process takes about 15 to 20 minutes. The exact number of injections will depend on the amount of fat you have under your chin and your desired profile.

How many BELKYRA® treatment sessions will I need?

Since everyone’s chin profile is different, the number of treatments varies from patient to patient. Your healthcare specialist will help determine how many treatment sessions you need based on the amount and distribution of your submental fat and your personal treatment goals. Each treatment session is given at least 1 month apart, and you should not receive more than 6 treatments. In clinical studies, 59% of patients received 6 treatments.

Will I need time to recover?

After the treatment, you will likely have some swelling, bruising, or numbness under your chin. Be sure to inform your healthcare professional if you develop an uneven smile, facial muscle weakness, or difficulty swallowing.

What are the possible side effects of BELKYRA®?

BELKYRA® can cause serious side effects, including nerve injury in the jaw that can temporarily cause an uneven smile or facial muscle weakness (experienced by 4 out of 100 people in clinical studies) and trouble swallowing (experienced by 2 out of 100 people in clinical studies). In clinical studies, nerve injury in the jaw resolved on its own in a median of 44 days (range of 1 to 298 days), and trouble swallowing resolved on its own in a median of 3 days (range of 1 to 81 days).

The most common side effects occur in the treatment area and include:

  • Swelling
  • Bruising
  • Pain
  • Numbness
  • Redness
  • Areas of hardness
  • Side effects are usually temporary and often resolve on their own.

Who should not receive BELKYRA®?

if you:

  • have an infection in the treatment area.
  • have had or plan to have surgery on your face, neck, or chin;
  • have had cosmetic treatments on your face, neck, or chin;
  • have had or have medical conditions in or near the neck area;
  • have had or have trouble swallowing;
  • have bleeding problems;
  • are pregnant or plan to become pregnant
  • are breastfeeding or plan to breastfeed
  • Tell your healthcare provider about all the medicines you take, including prescription and over-the-counter medicines, vitamins, and herbal supplements. Especially tell your healthcare provider if you take a medicine that prevents the clotting of your blood (antiplatelet or anticoagulant medicine).

What are the possible side effects of KYBELLA®?

KYBELLA® can cause serious side effects, including nerve injury in the jaw (which can cause an uneven smile or facial muscle weakness), or trouble swallowing.

The most common side effects of KYBELLA® include swelling, bruising, pain, numbness, redness, and areas of hardness in the treatment area.

Body contouring

Alidya® - the most successful cellulite treatment solution

15 000

Alidya® is a solution suitable for the treatment of profilometric surface alterations, cellulite, gynoid lipodystrophy.

The Alidya® ampulle content is injected into the dermal layer, or into the subcutaneous skin layer with so called mesotherpay method.

7-12 treatments are usually needed, and to maintain the results, maintenance injections are suggested. Yearly 1 treatment program can be requested.

Downtime: the redness remains for approximately 1 day on the skin and the skin is completely healed within 1 day. Bruising is always possible and heals in 10-14 days.

Anti-cellulite can be effective only, if proper diet and exersise is done. This therapy can be supported by radiofrequency treatment.

Aqualix fat dissolving intralipotherapy

45 000

Aqualyx® is a gel based fat dissolving solution containing the active ingredient desoxychol-acid. This secondary bile acid is a naturally occurring acid with the human body and has an essential function concerning the digestion of fat.

Aqualyx® targets fatty deposits that are resistant to diet and exercise. The active ingredient induces a process called lipolysis, where the fat cells rupture and die. The desoxychol-acid breaks down the fat cell wall releasing the fatty acid that is stored within. The bodies lymphatic system removes the fatty liquid through the venous system, where it is then processed in the same way as fatty foods are digested.

Fat Dissolving Injections are a Doctor only procedure. It is considered a safe and effective medical aesthetic treatment. The treatment can be administered over the entire body with target areas for Aqualyx® treatment for inch loss and cellulite are: double chin, jowl, upper arms / bingo wings, stomach, love handles, waist, hips, inner / outer thighs, buttocks, knees, back, bra bulge.

Prior to an Aqualix® treatment on the consultation with your doctor you can discuss all aspects of the procedure so you can decide if Aqualyx® is the right treatment for you, where upon your trained and qualified medical aesthetic doctor will decide if you are suitable for receive Aqualyx®.

Treatment takes around 20-30 minutes to administer depending on the area(s) of the body being treated. The procedure is virtually pain free as Aqualyx® contains a local anesthetic. Increased water intake assists the elimination of fatty acids released during the treatments, and pressotherapy body treatments will also facilitate the results.

Directly after treatment the treated area(s) will become swollen which may last a few days. You may see mild redness, and sometimes slight bruising however these temporary side effects quickly subside. In the case of bruising it is recommended that arnica tablets are taken a few days prior to and post treatment and arnica cream is used. Please do not take Aspirin prior to the treatment and during the course. Take anti-inflammatory medication to relieve any discomfort and swelling (i.e. Paracetamol). Ice cooling will also reduce side effects after the treatment.

Results are seen gradually over the next 3 – 4 weeks post treatment. To achieve your desired result you may need between 3 to 6 sessions every 21-24 days.
To maximize the effects of fat dissolving injections we recommend that you avoid applying any cosmetics within the first 12 hours. Normal skincare / make up routines can be performed without excess pressure 12 hours post procedure. Avoid all direct sources of heat i.e. sun, UV radiation, saunas etc. Abstain from particularly demanding physical exercise for at least 5 days post treatment. Follow a healthy diet and gentle exercise regime.

Downtime: the redness remains for approximately 1 day on the skin. Swelling and pain is present for 5 days on the treated area. Bruising is always possible and heals in 10-14 days. Re-touch is done only after the 3rd week.

Cavitation ultrasound therapy – E-light technology

10 000

After any intralipotherapeutic treatment the lipid cell destroying process can be more effective with cavitation ultrasound treatment.
These treatment sessions are recommended to be used alone or additionally with other cellulite or lipolythic mezotherapy treatments.

FTC- fine thread contouring: body contouring treatment

THREAD LIFTING or FINE THREAD CONTOURING (FTC) is made of a biocompatible (does not harm the body), biodegradable (broken down or metabolized by the body) injectible material composed of poly-dioxanone and poli-glycolic-acid. These have been used medically for over 30 years in dissolvable stitches and do not require pre-treatment skin testing for allergies. FTC involves injecting fine threads into the skin and underlying tissues to redefine facial contour and stimulate the body’s own collagen. Therefore, FTC can gradually provide both filling and lifting effects.

The suggested quantity of threads depends on the area and condition treated. Generally 6-9 cm long threads are used to treat the skin. Not only the threads themselves thighten the skin, but also the injury provoked new-collagen formation. The connective tissue remodells and so the skin becomes more healty, firm and hydrated.

You have to await the collagen growth that can be seen starting at 6 to 8 weeks. The gradual but noticeable effect of a treatment with FTC may last even up to 24 months. However, individual results may vary. Areas of treatment may require multiple sessions, usually 3 sessions at 4- to 6- weekly intervals for optimal correction. Because individual responses to FTC may vary, the exact number of treatment sessions required cannot be predicted with complete accuracy.

Downtime: the redness remains for approximately 1 day on the skin and the skin is completely healed within 2 weeks. Bruising is always possible and heals in 10-14 days. Complete recovery is seen on the 14th day. Re-touch is done only after the 3rd month.

Vivace® fractionated microneedeling radiofrequency treatment

70 000

Vivace® is the latest direct dermal heating technology of the best precision energy delivery for consistent results and volumetric tightening.

Vivace®  radiofrequency (RF) heats the tissues directly through 36 micro-needles at a time, at a safe radiofrequency.

RF  is able  to deliver heat to the deep dermis and the subdermal layer so it is the main tool in skin tightening treatments. During the treatment a constant 40-43ᵒC is obtained in the dermis causing collagen remodelling and local metabolism acceleration.

Right after the treatment a prompt - transient - tightening is visible, but the main result ( new collagen and elastin fiber formation) is first seen after one month.

Micro-needles applied to the skin under local anaesthesia create many microscopic channels deep into the dermis of the skin, which stimulates your body to produce it's own collagen. These channels also improve the penetration of vitamins, biostimulating cocktails or pure hyaluronic acid.

Since micro-needles are insulated, except for the part at the edge (0.3mm) they work as electrodes which deliver bi-polar energy deep into the dermis without damaging the epidermis. Minimally invasive RF thermal energy creates fractional electrocoagulation in dermis which facilitates the natural healing processes of the tissue. These processes promote the remodelling of collagen and wound contraction, which enhance skin elasticity.

Alonge with dermal remodelling an advantage of RF is, that it inhibits sebaceous gland activity and improves acne or seborrhoea.

The heat generated from the RF leads to immediate tissue contraction, which lasts for several days, and also initiates an inflammatory reaction and an increase of collagen and elastin synthesis the result of which is visible from one month after the treatment. Vivace®  insulated needles and wide RF wavelengths deliver energy into the deep dermis continuously, resulting in the tightening of the skin. The impacts are profound and not superficial, without damaging the epidermis.

Vivace® non-insulated needles with narrow and concentrated RF wavelengths deliver energy from surface to deep dermis continuously, so the energy concentrates on the full thickness of the skin resulting in the emision of the scars nd reduction of pores. The impacts are both profound and superficial, with slight damage to the epidermis so downtime is longer than usual.

The microscopic holes of the epidermis made by the device can be admitted for transdermal drug delivery, and non-cross linked hyaluronic acid (hydrobalance), or platelet rich plasma (Drakula therapy) can be transmitted without further pain or bruising to achieve synergestic results.

There is minimum pain involved and local anasthetics are applied before the treatment. The needles are operated by a micro-motor, therefore the penetration of the needles to the skin is smooth and even.

The interval of the treatments depends on the patients, but in general 3 treatments are required, with a 4 week interval.

The time of the Vivace®  RF procedure depends on the size of the area, a face treatment takes approximately 30-40 minutes (plus anaesthetic before, and post-care after the actual Vivace®  treatment).

Downtime is minimal. The redness remains for approximately 3-6 hours on the skin and the skin is completely healed within 1 day.

The radiofrequency application is safe, there is no complication, but we do suggest using solar protection for 10 days following the treatment.

It is recommended for wide pores, acne scares, wrinkles ( face, neck decolletage), face lifting and body skin tightening.

Collagen induction therapy

The ageing of our skin is a natural process, which begins in our twenties and becomes visible sooner or later, depending on our genetic factors, lifestyle and bad habits.

Natural aging of the skin becomes much faster in certain skin disorders and as a result of chronic UV photoaging, stress, smoking, any internal or wasting diseases, and hormonal factors.
During aging, the quantity of elastic and collagen fibres in the dermis, which are responsible for the flexibility and stretchiness of the skin, and for tensile strength and pliability, respectively, as well as the quantity of basic substance in the interfibre space providing the tightness of the skin (containing a high amount of water, minerals dissolved in water, and, among others, mucopolysaccharides, hyaluronic acid, proteoglycans and chondroitin sulphuric acid, which are responsible for the adaptive functions of the skin) are reduced, and the proportion of their components becomes imbalanced.

As aging progresses, scaly peeling and greyish skin colour caused by reduced tallow production, as well as pigment spots and keratoses occurre depending on the severity of photodamage, and makes our skin look visibly older.

This results in reduced volume of the skin, and a thin, looser skin structure with poor tone.

Dermaroller - collagen induction therapy

30 000

This treatment is recommended for patients with photoaged skin or scars caused by dermatology disorders or after injuries. Its effects include refinement of the skin surface, reduction of pores, and improvement of the tightness and tone of the skin.

This own-collagen induction therapy is performed half an hour after application of local anaesthesia (anaesthetic cream). The treatment involves the use of a cylinder-shaped roller device with 192 pieces of 1.5 cm long high-grade steel needles mounted to its surface in 8 columns and being rolled across the skin surface with appropriate technique. As a result of the needle pricks, biological activators are produced that help the skin to renew and reduce scars left from previous skin disorders (acne, chicken pox).

In parallel with the treatment, other active substances individually selected depending on the patient’s skin type and skin condition, for example retinoid or hyaluronic acid may also be used, and due to the dermaroller treatment, these can achieve several fold higher concentration in the dermis and accordingly exhibit an exponentially increased effect.

The skin redness that occurs after treatment and very much resembles the redness after sunburn disappears within 2 to 3 days. Result of the treatment will be visible 2 to 3 months later. Significant improvement can be expected after 1 to 3 treatments. A 6 to 8 week long interval should be kept between the treatments. In the days following the treatment, the skin should be protected against hyperpigmentation by applying sun protection cream of minimum SPF 50+; and sunbathing or solarium is not recommended.

MezoPen treatment

30 000

This treatment is recommended for patients with photoaged skin or scars caused by dermatological disorders or after injuries. Its effects include refinement of the skin surface, reduction of pores, and improvement of the tightness and tone of the skin.

This own-collagen induction therapy is performed half an hour after application of local anaesthesia (anaesthetic cream). The treatment involves the use of a device with 25 pieces of 0.3- 3 cm long high-grade steel needles mounted to its surface, arriving to the the skin surface perpendicularly. The treatment is less painful as the classical dermaroller therapy and more flexible, because needle length and so treatment depth can be changed during one session easily.

As a result of the needle pricks, biological activators are produced that help the skin to renew and reduce scars left from previous skin disorders (acne, chicken pox).

Parallel with the treatment, other active substances individually selected depending on the patient’s skin type and skin condition, for example retinoid or hyaluronic acid may also be used, and due to the dermaroller treatment, these can achieve a several times higher concentration in the dermis and accordingly exhibit an increased effect.

The skin redness that occurs after treatment and very much resembles the redness after sunburn disappears within 1-2 days. Result of the treatment will be visible 2 to 3 months later. Significant improvement can be expected after 1 to 3 treatments. A 4 to 8 week long interval should be kept between the treatments. In the days following the treatment, the skin should be protected against hyperpigmentation by applying sun protection cream of minimum SPF 50+; and sunbathing or solarium is not recommended.

Mezotherapy - RRS

15 000

During medical mezotherapy sterile drugs and cosmeceuticals can be injected into the skin with very thin and delicate needles. Because of the targeted treatment the dosage of the drug and so the side effects of it are less comparing oral intake. Even long time, depo treatment is possible with certain cosmeceuticals. We treat the skin usually every 4-8 week, depending the treated condition.

This therapy is performed half an hour after application of local anaesthesia (anaesthetic cream).

To chose the right „coctail” we consider the condition of the skin, and the bed habits of the patient (suntan, nicotin abuse).

Platelet rich plasma therapy, non-cross linked hyaluronic acid treatment or eve intralesional kortikoszteroid scar treatment is considered as mezotherapy.

The skin redness that occurs after treatment disappears within 2 to 3 days.

Serum bio-stimulation therapy - „Dracula therapy”

One of the most state-of-the-art aesthetic procedures in the world is bio-stimulation therapy with own serum (prp therapy), which has been made well-known by the media as “dracula therapy”. The underlying method has already been widely used in a number of professional areas (dentistry, orthopedics).

During aging, the quantity of elastic fibres and the level of skin hydration are being decreased, and the skin becomes dry and flaccid.  Bio-stimulation procedure involves a targeted use of active substances extracted and artificially enriched (with no chemicals or additives) from the patient’s own blood in order to achieve outstanding aesthetic results. These active substances can be found in the blood at low concentrations and have a physiological role in the regeneration of the skin and connective tissues.

For bio-stimulation therapy, the patient’s blood is freshly collected into a tube produced by a specially developed individual technique, then a 10 to 15 minute long treatment follows to obtain a   "serum” containing the patient's platelets, proteins and growth factors at a very high concentration.

The plasma prepared by this procedure is delivered back into the skin with a needle or dermaroller, using the most optimal form of delivery established in each case based on the patient’s individual skin type.  Any surface area of the body can be treated and rejuvenated, including the face, the décolletage, the neck or even the skin of the hand, depending on the desired result. The treatment is limited by the volume of substance available for use on one occasion, which depends on the blood count, platelet count and other medical conditions (e.g. liver function disorder) of the patient.

The stimulating cocktail prepared from the own blood of the patient stimulates the stem cells located in the skin and subcutis, and triggers the reproduction of elastic fibres, which are increasingly reduced with aging, and last but not least, it enhances hydration of the skin. Thus, not only the deep static and mimic wrinkles, but also the superficial crow’s feet caused by dehydration are filled, and the skin becomes smooth and flexible.

As a result of the treatment, new collagen and elastic fibres are produced in the skin, and the newly formed vessels improve the supply of nutrients to the skin. The skin on the treated area becomes spectacularly smooth, tight and young looking, and wrinkles disappear.

As no substances foreign to body are administered, no allergic reactions occur.

The spectacular skin rejuvenating effect develops gradually within several weeks, and lasts long, for years. In order to achieve long term effect, it is recommended to have 3 treatments, one in every 2 months, followed by 1 to 2 maintenance treatments per year. The treatment is more efficient when it is supplemented by appropriate skin nutrition and lifestyle – UV radiation should be obviously avoided.

As a treatment course for patients with severely stressed skin, 3 treatments are recommended in 2-month intervals, followed by a maintenance treatment every half year.

For prevention, occasional treatments are also recommended, especially after the summer months, even if only a specific region is concerned.

Crow's feet and under-eye bag treatments

Do you suffer from under-eye bags, crow's feet or circles? Under-eye bags are a natural effect of ageing, but they can also be caused by lack of sleep, allergies, and habits that promote water retention. Under-eye bags are a cosmetic concern that can make people appear tired or under the weather. How to reduce the appearance of under-eye bags with long-term strategies and permanent aesthetic solutions?

Botulin toxin treatment is a good and long lasting solution for crow's feet treatment. The dinamic movement of the periocular muscle is weakened- but not freezed- arteficially, so as the subcutaneous connective tissue can be protected from furhter narrowing.

Nowadays we do not recommend botulinum toxin treatment as monotreatment, only together with further connective tissue rejuvenation to protect and rebuild this sensitive area of the face.

Dynamic wrinkle treatment with botulin toxin A - Dysport

The Botulinum A toxin exerts its effect of de-wrinkling on the face by inhibiting the movement of
the mimic muscles, and this effect lasts appr. 4-6 months.
Before treatment the area of skin to be treated is disinfected, then botulinum A toxin of
the required quantity is injected into the muscles with a very thin (insulin) syringe.
After the treatment the injected parts of the body are cooled with jelly of ice.
For 48 hours after getting the injections it is not allowed to bask in the sun, use a solarium,
massage the treated areas or make exhausting physical activities.

First signs of the treatment develop 2-4 days after the intervention, but final result is seen in 14 days. Controll examination and touch-up treatments are done at the 14th day.

FTC - FINE THREAD Contouring

150 000

THREAD LIFTING or FINE THREAD CONTOURING (FTC) is made of a biocompatible (does not harm the body), biodegradable (broken down or metabolized by the body) injectible material composed of poly-dioxanone and poly-glycolic-acid.

You have to await the collagen growth that can be seen starting at 6 to 8 weeks. The gradual but noticeable effect of a treatment with FTC may last even up to 24 months. However, individual results may vary.

Areas of treatment may require multiple sessions, usually 3 sessions at 4, to 6, weekly intervals for optimal correction.

Hyaluronic acid mezotherapy

35 000

This treatment, administered either alone or as a supplement to other treatments for photo-aged or scarred skin, is perfectly suitable for refreshing the skin of the face, hands or décolletage of patients who are young and take very good care of their skin, exercise extensively or are smokers.

The treatment can be performed using a dermaroller or one of the currently available most state-of-the-art, market leading techniques called Antheis Injecting System® (pen), for any skin type (Glogau I-IV, Fitzpatrick I-V. skintype), depending on the desired result. The advantage of the latter intervention is easy treatment of anatomical regions which are hard to access (e.g. the eyes and their surroundings) and rapid recovery, as the possible complications are minimal, and therefore the treatment does not cause any downtime.

Downtime is minimal. The redness remains for approximately 24 hours on the skin and the skin is completely healed within 1-2 days. Bruising heals in 10 days.

We do suggest using solar protection for 14 days following the treatment.

The powerful vacuum function increases the blood circulation by sucking the target areas and evens out the skin to optimize efficient RF energy delivery. The vacuum induces lymphatic drainage, smooths out the body and helps cellulite reduction.

Low Level Laser

By delivery of specific wavelengths of laser light, the PowerShape 2 significantly reduces the size of fat cells to destabilize and then breaks down through the body’s own natural process. It creates synergy effects for body slimming and maximizes the effects of fat reduction.

How long does it take?

It depends on the target area. Treatment of the abdominal area takes average 20 minutes according to the protocol of treatment. Treatment of the arms and legs can take 10~15 minutes. Facial areas should be treated within 10 minutes.

Who should avoid the treatment?

Pregnant women, Patients with scars or infection on the treated area, People with keloid lesion, Patients with a mechanical heart assist device, People with sensitive skin, Patients with tumor, Patients with metal pins inside of the body, People with special conditions for operation.

Is the treatment painful?

You may feel warm in the treated area and a sensation of massage associated with the vacuum pressure. There is no sharp and severe pain.

How long it tak to recover after treatment?

You may get temporary redness in the treated area but it will be gone within 2~3 days. Patients are expected to be able to return to normal activities without any downtime after treatment.

How many session should be taken?

We recommend more than 4 sessions usually with an interval of 3 weeks. The treatment effects vary depending on the individual.

Plexr® - Blepharoplasty without surgical treatment

Plexr was created from the necessity to intervene in conditions where the use of Lasers or Radio Controlled Scalpel was difficult. The Plexr makes use of the fourth state of matter: Plasma. The treated tissues “Sublimate”: the principle used is the ionisation of the gases contained in the air to get a small electrical arc similar to a tiny lightning, with which to treat areas affected by dermal and epidermal aesthetic problems, without disclosing the amount of unwanted heat to the surrounding areas.

Applications:
•    Non-surgical Blepharoplasty
•    Face and body lifting
•    Treatment of periumbilical stria distensa
•    Removal of fibromas, moles, keloids, verrucae, xantelasma, dyskeratosis
•    Correction of post acne scars and hypertrophic scars
•    Non-pharmacological treatment of acne, etc.

Fractionated Carbondioxide Laser treatment - DEKA SmartXide DOT fractionated laser

What exactly is CO2 Laser Resurfacing?

Laser skin resurfacing has been called the anti-aging breakthrough of the 21st Century. The term fractional CO2 laser resurfacing actually refers to two different types of laser skin resurfacing procedures, ablative and non-ablative. Both treatments are highly effective anti-aging procedures, and they can be used to correct mild to severe skin problems ranging from dark spots to deep wrinkles. Using the latest laser technologies and applications, ablative and non-ablative skin resurfacing can deliver dramatic results.

What's The Difference Between Ablative and Non-Ablative Fractional Laser Resurfacing?

Ablative fractional skin resurfacing, also known as fractionated or pixilated carbon dioxide (CO2) laser skin resurfacing systems, deliver the most dramatic results but require significant downtime for recovery. Non-ablative fractional skin resurfacing lasers like the DEKA SmartXide DOT deliver gentler, milder results and require minimal downtime, you can expect to be pink and puffy for approximately 4-5 days but you can wear makeup after 24 hours and resume normal activities. Although ablative and non-ablative procedures all involve laser skin resurfacing, the procedures are performed differently and they produce different results.

How Does Non-Ablative Fractional Laser Resurfacing Work?

Non-ablative fractional skin resurfacing goes deep into the epidermis of the skin and stimulates the production of collagen, a protein that's found in connective tissue. Collagen causes the skin to plump up, and as it does, the collagen fills in wrinkles and lines. The result is firmer, smoother, suppler and younger-looking skin. Because non-ablative skin resurfacing is performed within the skin rather than on its surface, there is minimal discomfort and no downtime.

Over time, as collagen in the skin is destroyed by aging, sun damage and pollution, the skin takes on a loose, saggy and blotchy appearance. Non-ablative DEKA laser resurfacing uses light energy to create tiny pinpricks deep in the skin that ramp up collagen production. Unlike traditional fractional CO2 lasers, DEKA lasers can accomplish their work without damaging the outermost layers of the skin. If your wrinkles are mild to moderate, DEKA non-ablative laser treatments can give you a younger-looking face with minimal discomfort.

Although the fractional CO2 laser works best for acne scars, deep lines and wrinkles, the non-ablative DEKA laser treatment is a great option for anyone whose fine lines and wrinkles are not deep. Non-ablative skin resurfacing is also an excellent treatment for dark spots, sun spots and skin discolorations; it penetrates the skin and causes these spots to rise to the surface so they can be removed.

One disadvantage of non-ablative laser treatments is that because it's gentler and gives mild to moderate results, it may take multiple sessions to get the desired degree of smoother, firmer skin.

Non-ablative laser resurfacing requires minimal downtime, only local anesthesia is required and pain following the procedure is minimal. The treatments themselves can be mildly uncomfortable depending on your pain threshold, but topical numbing cream is applied to the skin for an hour to help alleviate any discomfort. After the treatment is complete, you can not apply makeup and continue with your day: there is redness for 3-7 days after the treatment, depending the settings your Doctor has choosen. One session typically takes about an hour.

Given the aging process and the damage caused by the sun, a non-ablative laser treatment will not last forever; eventually wrinkles, fine lines and skin imperfections will return. However, because your initial treatment targeted these imperfections beneath the skin's surface, you now have only to treat the surface of the skin to restore the initial results, and this is accomplished in fewer sessions than the initial treatment required. We also recommend that patients are on a proper skin care regime prior to a laser treatment, specifically retinols or lightening agents, as this will help to get your cells under control and work in combination with the lasers to improve pigment, tone and texture.

How Does Ablative Fractional Laser Resurfacing Work?

Also known as fully ablative fractional laser resurfacing and fractionated or pixilated carbon dioxide (CO2) laser treatments, ablative laser therapy essentially vaporizes the uppermost layer of the skin. An ablative laser delivers a more intense light beam than a non-ablative laser, and the treatment generally requires anesthesia or sedation. After an ablative laser treatment, you will need considerable downtime to give your skin a chance to recover. Ablative laser therapy is considered an outpatient surgical procedure.

Vaporizing the outer layer of the skin stimulates collagen production, and the skin restructures itself as it heals. Ablative CO2 laser restructuring can get rid of unwanted lesions, smooth out acne scars and correct irregular pigmentation. Although this treatment can deliver dramatic results and significant improvement in deeper wrinkles, it will not obliterate severely sagging skin or deep wrinkling, and it's not a good treatment option for anyone with darker skin.

Ablative lasers differ in their intensity depending on how deeply they penetrate the skin. With a deeply penetrating laser, you will usually require anesthesia along with pain medication during and after the procedure. With a less aggressive laser, you will still require pain medicine during and after the procedure. In either case, plan on 2-4 weeks of downtime for recovery. The treatments can last anywhere from a half-hour to two hours, but the good news is that you'll only need one treatment.

After the ablative laser procedure is completed, you may have to wear a mask bandage for two days. When the bandage is removed, your skin will be weeping and raw, and there may be significant discomfort. You will have to apply an ointment to the skin regularly to aid in healing, and it can take up to a month before the skin is completely healed. Ablative laser treatment is somewhat intense, but if you want dramatic improvement, the results are worth it. You'll have a fresh, unblemished complexion, and the results can last for up to five years. Although facial imperfections such as fine lines, dark spots and discolorations will return over time, you can refresh your skin with an additional laser treatment that's less intense than the initial treatment.

What Else Do I Need To Know About Fractional Laser Skin Resurfacing?

As a general rule, the more striking the results you want, the stronger your laser treatment must be and the longer your recovery will take. Although problems like skin discolorations and brown spots from sun damage can be corrected with the less aggressive non-ablative DEKA laser, deeper wrinkles and acne scars require a more aggressive laser.

Patient reviews of laser resurfacing are positive overall as long as you are prepared to deal with recovery process involved in ablative laser treatments. If you are considering fractional laser skin resurfacing, it can give you remarkable results, but it's a good idea to consult a medical professional before scheduling a procedure to find out how to best achieve the results you want.

FRACTIONAL SKIN RESURFACING and its BENEFITS "

Fractional Skin Resurfacing is a Revolutionary Delivery System that increases the possibilities for busy people who want healthy, younger looking skin with minimal pain in a short period of time. The DEKA combines the benefits of a C02 laser with a micro spot size of 300 microns that can treat 20-100% of the scanned area. Using a computerized pattern generator and a new scanning algorithm, thermal heat is dispersed within the epidermis while evenly treating damaged areas. This particular algorithm dramatically reduces pain, the need for anesthesia, and recovery time. Single treatments can show a significant improvement in skin texture and color.

RISKS

rythema (redness of skin); The laser-treated areas have a distinctive redness representing increased blood flow due to the growth of the superficial tissue and collagen. It will gradually fade during the first 7 days.

Inflammation (swelling); Treatment with the DEKA presents swelling that can last up to 4 days.

Hyperpigmentation (tanning); This is presented after the third day of the procedure but then begins to shed and reveal younger healthy looking skin. A personal interview and clinical examination will be conducted to obtain relevant facts about your medical and dermatologic history, and any medications you are currently taking or have taken in the recent past. If you are prone to cold sores, you need to ask your doctor for an antivirus prescription before the treatment.

Fractional Treatment has been proven safe for the face, neck, chest and hands.

Pre-Treatment:

1. Avoid sun exposure for at least one week prior to treatment. If sun exposure can not be avoided, a sunscreen of SPF 50 or greater should be worn as well as a hat. A Sunscreen with UVA and UVB coverage provides best protection.

2. Notify your Physician if you develop a cold sore or any other illness prior to the treatment.

3. Purchase a non-allergenic water-based moisturizer for use in post-treatment care (found at most Drug/Pharmacy Stores).

4. Pre-Treatment prescriptions (such as oral antibiotics or antiviral medications) should be filled and initiated prior to treatment (per your physician's instruction).

5. Avoid using Retin-A or any other product of the "retinoid" family for 1 week prior.

6. Do not wear make-up or other facial products (including moisturizer) on the day of the treatment.

Post-Treatment:

1. Immediately following the treatment apply cool compresses (ice) to control any discomfort and/or swelling if needed. You may also find that having a fan blow air at you may help.

2. Keep applying layers of Vaseline ointment to the treated area for protection and to promote the healing process. Re-apply and keep face moist as needed until peeling has stopped, about 3-5 days.

3. The day after your procedure you may start washing the treated area twice a day with a nonsoap, gentle cleanser only (such as Cetaphil). A gentle moisturizer may be used only after you’ve stopped peeling completely! Please note that continued application of moisturizer will speed the healing process.

4. It is important Not to "pick or rub” your skin during the healing process.

5. If your skin is broken or a blister appears, it may be necessary to use an antibiotic ointment (notify your physician).

6. Oral analgesics, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory agents, or other medications may be used at the discretion of your physician for discomfort.

7. Sun exposure should be avoided after treatment. If further treatment is planned, it is important that you commit to staying out of the sun. A sunscreen of SPF 50, with UVB and UVA ray coverage, should be worn daily regardless of sun exposure.

8. Contact your Physician with any other concerns.

Guna biolifting

Guna Biolifting® contains a dynamized active substance with natural effect, and is recommended for nature lovers, or even for breast-feeding mothers or during pregnancy. Mechanism of action of this aesthetic dermatological and cosmetological solution, which causes fine changes, is not based on filling, but on the revitalization of cells and purification of the intercellular substance.

The treatment is performed by a dermatological microneedle or dermaroller.

The small doses administered into the acupuncture points are able to effectively reduce wrinkles of the face, neck and décolletage as well as lifting double chin, and reducing cellulite or excessive fat, as well as improving regeneration processes of the skin.

As a result of the treatment, skin function becomes optimised, the skin becomes more healthy and fresh, tone of the skin tissue is improved, and wrinkles are smoothed out. Improvement is initiated with the utilization of the body’s own energy, thus the effect is long lasting.

Downtime is minimal. The redness remains for approximately 15 minutes on the skin. Bruising heals in 10 days.

To achieve appropriate results, a total of 5 treatments administered every 2 weeks is recommended, which is followed by a booster treatment every 3 to 6 months.

Hyaluronic acid volume replacement

Lip volume building with hyaluronic acid 1 ml

60 000

The volume of the red lip srinks with ageing so tiny lines develop on the white lips, which remain stable after some years. This is due to the constant movement of the perioral muscle and the loss of connective tissue, furthermore bacause of the destructive effect of the UV radiation.

Hyaluronic acid is able to rejuvenate the red-white lip border without necesseraly volume replacement effect, if it is treated in time.

Volume replacement is not always required, but is needed sometimes in avery gentle quantity. Approximately 0.5-1 ml of hyaluronic acid filler is enough to make a nice, natural and young looking effect.

Before the treatment a numbing cream is used to anaesthetise the pain caused by the needle. Hyaluronic acid fillers contains nowadays lidocain, which makes this procedure more comfortable.

It is good to know, that after treatment the lips are swollen for 24-48 hours. This swelling can make some patients lips up to 30% bigger than normal. The final result is seen in two weeks. Before that no correction is done.

We do suggest using solar protection for 14 days following the treatment.

Laser removal of tattoos

Tattoos consist of thousands of particles of tattoo pigment suspended in the skin. While normal human growth and healing processes will remove small foreign particles from the skin, tattoo pigment particles are permanent because they are too big to be removed. Laser treatment causes tattoo pigment particles to heat up and fragment into smaller pieces. These smaller pieces are then removed by normal body processes.

Before you decide to remove your tattoo, it is important to consider the following.

1. Removal takes time, sessions must be spaced apart to avoid any damage to the tissue. In this waiting period, the particles are still working down to smaller sizes.

2. Some colours are much harder to remove then others. Black is the easiest colour to remove, with reds and greens being the hardest.

3. Complete removal can take a long time, sometimes up to a year. It is important to remember that sometimes complete removal is not possible.

4. Laser removal is always your best bet before attempting to cover a tattoo. Removing to cover means the ink only needs to dull down, so the process is much quicker than complete removal.

*Note that every patient is unique, and results may vary. Please call for details.

How it works?

Decorative tattoos can be applied professionally or by amateurs, with pigment initially remaining in the superficial dermis; after several years, the pigment may migrate into deeper layers of the skin.Amateur tattoos are composed of ink or carbon; these pigments are usually less dense than those used by professionals, often making amateur tattoos easier to remove (ie, about five sessions of laser therapy for 90% clearance vs six to 10)

Professional tattoos are composed of organic pigments that vary in particle size but are applied at a uniform depth of needle penetration. The deposited pigment particles reside mainly in dermal fibroblasts and macrophages, although smaller collections of particles can be found within the interstitial space.

Although continuous-wave lasers can also cause scarring, quality-switched (Q-switched) lasers have produced more favorable outcomes. The specific color and absorptive characteristics of each tattoo ink will help determine the ideal laser type to be used.

The patient’s skin type, too, may affect the response to treatment. Q-switched lasers are effective for all skin types, but complete pigment removal may be more difficult in lighter-skinned patients (ie, Fitzgerald skin types I and II). Similarly, in older tattoos, complete removal may not be possible, since some dermal pigment may have penetrated too deeply to be reached.

Laser removal of tattoos is accomplished by selective photothermolysis, a process that was first described by Anderson and Parrish in 1983. Photothermolysis targets specific microscopic sites on the skin, with effectiveness depending on the absorption spectrum of each pigment. The epidermis, dermis, and skin appendages are only minimally damaged in the process.

Laser therapy modifies the optic properties of the tattoo pigments to be removed. The pigments absorb short laser pulses, which produce a high-intensity light in the pigments that is converted into heat. Shock waves shatter the pigment particles, achieving the selective death of the pigment-containing cells. The chemical composition of the pigment is also altered.

Lastly, the cell debris is phagocytized and transported to regional lymph nodes. Although they are hardly visible, some residual, scattered particles remain in the dermis. Only superficial pigment fragments are entirely eliminated during epidermal desquamation as repair is occurring, a development called transepidermal elimination.

To produce the most effective treatment results, the laser wavelength must be absorbed by the ink, the heat should be confined to the target, and adequate energy must be delivered.

Additionally, although Q-switched lasers are considered the gold standard for tattoo removal, realistic expectations should be established. Patients interested in treatment must be informed at the outset that complete clearance is not guaranteed and that the number of treatments and end result depend on factors that vary from patient to patient. Ten to 15 sessions, spaced six to eight weeks apart, may be required to achieve a desirable or even acceptable result, and the entire process could take a year or longer.

The Q-switched Nd-YAG lasers (with wavelengths of 532 nm or 1064 nm) have a large spot size, concentrated energy densities, high repetition rates, and greater beam diameter, allowing for rapid, effective treatment of closely clustered and deep tattoos. Five treatments of red or orange tattoos may achieve 75% clearance in about 60% of patients.

The 1064-nm Nd:YAG laser, which has the deepest penetration and carries the least risk for hypopigmentation, is indicated for black and dark blue pigments. It is considered the ideal choice for tattoo removal in dark-skinned patients, since its longer wavelength represents a lower affinity for melanin. The 532-nm Nd:YAG laser is effective for removal of red, yellow, and orange pigments.Ten or more treatments may be required for 75% clearance of a professional tattoo.

Some adverse effects of Nd:YAG laser use include whitening of the skin, with occasional mild pinpoint bleeding. Use of the 532-nm model is associated with purpura, resulting from hemoglobin absorption; this may last from one week to 10 days. The 1064-nm Nd:YAG laser is the least effective for removing bright-colored pigments.

Complications, Adverse Effects, and Their Management
Although Q-switched lasers appear quite effective in tattoo removal, their use is not without adverse effects.

Hypopigmentation
The most common chronic adverse effect of laser treatment is hypopigmentation. The risk is high in dark-skinned patients undergoing treatment with the QSR or alexandrite lasers and increases in any patient according to the number of treatment sessions. Hypopigmentation occurs in more than 38% of patients treated with QSR lasers and typically lasts for two to six months.

Hyperpigmentation
Hyperpigmentation can occur as a result of melanocytes’ increased melanin production in response to laser-generated heat. This effect is usually temporary, but recovery time varies. The risk of hyperpigmentation depends largely on skin type, with darker-skinned patients (ie, Fitzgerald type III or IV skin) at higher risk.Patients at risk for hyperpigmentation should avoid sun exposure before and after laser treatments; UVA/UVB sun blocks are essential if sun exposure cannot be avoided.

Paradoxical Darkening of the Tattoo
Paradoxical darkening occurs when the chemical composition of the ink is changed by laser treatment—for example, from rust-colored ferric oxide to jet black ferrous oxide. Similarly, titanium dioxide contained in white ink that is used to brighten other colors can be reduced to titanium oxide or blue Ti3+ in response to laser therapy.Darkening is often difficult to correct. In order to avoid darkening, a spot test is recommended.

Blistering
Blistering can occur as a result of overaggressive laser treatment or inadvertent absorption of laser energy due to the specific pigment. Blisters may be avoided by using a tissue-cooling system, such as a contact chill tip or cryogen spray. To avoid adverse effects such as wheals, punctate bleeding, blisters, and crusts, a minimum of four weeks between sessions should be maintained. Topical antiseptics can be used to prevent infection.

Allergic Reactions
Tattoos containing metal salts—mercury (red), cadmium (yellow), chrome (green), or cobalt (blue)—may be subject to a local allergic or photoallergic skin reaction. A preexisting local allergic reaction may be exacerbated by laser treatment, resulting in urticaria or a systemic allergic reaction. Red is the pigment most often associated with allergic reactions, resulting in nodular, scaly, pruritic areas.Removal of areas of red pigment with the 532-nm Nd:YAG laser can help prevent complications.Photoallergic reactions most commonly involve cadmium. Affected patients typically report a history of pruritus in the tattoo and raised skin after UV exposure.

Scarring
Cobblestone texture is a sign of early scarring, usually appearing within two weeks of treatment. The risk for scarring is highest on the chest, outer upper arm, and ankle. The risk is especially great in laser treatment of areas that have been retattooed (ie, a second tattoo applied to cover an older tattoo) because of the high density of pigment and increased laser resistance. Patients should be asked about the possible presence of a cover-up tattoo, since this may not be detectable on casual inspection.

Resistance
Certain pigments are resistant to laser treatment, and multicolored tattoos are difficult to treat because of the limited number of laser wavelengths. If a tattoo’s nonresponsive area exceeds 10% of its total area, laser treatment should be abandoned. A smaller resistant area, however, may be treated with ablative lasers (ultrapulse CO2, pulsed erbium:YAG ). This requires numerous sessions, one to three months apart. Aggressive measures, such as attempting to remove all of the pigment in one session, should be avoided, since heavy scarring can occur.

It is good to know, that after treatment the lips are swollen for 24-48 hours. This swelling can make some patients lips up to 30% bigger than normal. The final result is seen in two weeks. Before that no correction is done.

We do suggest using solar protection for 14 days following the treatment.

Liquid face lift

60 000

With ageing not only our skin, but also the connective tissue, the mucles, the fat pads and the bones are changing and replaced. The young V shape of the face turns into an A.
Chasing wrinkles is not always the solution and sometimes is not recommended either.
The liquid face lift is a combination of filler and botulin toxin techniques
To rejuvenate the face. The result is temporary and repeated treatments are necessary, but overall the patients notice a fresher, more youthful appearance. Furthermore the uniformity of the patients is avoidable by using small amounts and good technique.

Medical peeling

The surface of our skin is visibly ageing due to the so called „extrinsic” ageing factors, such as UV-light, drugs, pollution, smoking, or any chronic diseases.
The renewal of the skin gets slowlier so the color and texture changes, become grey, wrinkled, prone and dehidrated.
Collagen and elastic fibres are destroyed and lose their function, leaving dynamic and static wrinkles on the skin as scars.
Chronic sun exposure causes premalignant skin lesions and in a couple of years skin tumors, which can be removed only by surgical procedures, which leaves scarring.

Superficial or deep medical peelings are very safe and effective methods for skin rejuvenation. They not only remove dead skin layers and pre-tumor skin conditions but also stimulate deeper connective tissue to regenerate.

Rejuvenating skin gives not only an aesthetic benefit but also improves the quality of life by preventing skin cancer formation.

The safety is guaranteed by the advised protocols of the manufacturer, but patient compliance is essential to avoid any complication.

IMAGE® - Orange peel

100 000

Trichloroacetic acid and retinoicacid peeling is recommended for the treatment of pigmentation occurring after inflammatory skin disorders or sunburn and for the renewal of ageing or severely photoaged skin (Glogau I-IV). During the treatment period, spectacular results can be achieved with natural methods.

Peeling is initiated by applying the acid onto the skin and works actively for 24 hours, therefore, the affected area should not be washed for 8 hours after treatment. In the first few days after the first treatment, the skin visibly peels. During this period, maximal light protection and active skin care is necessary, and patients are appropriately trained on how to do this. The final result of the treatment rivals that of laser procedures, without pain and recovery time.

This treatment is only performed during autumn and winter with the use of a special light protection cream and supplementary home care for Fitzpatrik I, II and III skin types.

Downtime: the redness remains for approximately 2 days on the skin, desquamation starts on the 3rd and finish on the 5-7th day, depending the pretreatments. The skin is completely healed in 1 week.

We do suggest using solar protection during and after the treatment.

Image TCA-retinol combined peeling is used maximum twice a year, and downtime is one week.

Using the pre-treatment kit at least 3 weeks before treatment accelerates the desquamation and improves the final result.

Pixel peel

35 000

Pixel peel is a combination technique where we use the potencial kollagen induction effect of two techniques: the dermaroller and the TCA (tricholoacid treatment).

Dermaroller not only induces kollagen growth, but also opens new microchannels ont he skin barrier stratum corneum, so the TCA can more easily penetrate into the deeper layer of the epidermis- and also dermis.

Since scar tissue formation developes in case of dermis inflammation, this hybride technique able to treat this layer and remodell the skin in a couple of weeks.

For better result more treatment is needed, but result is visible after the first session.

After the treatment skin is red for 2-4 days and later a severe desquamation appears, which lasts for 1 week.

Sessions can be repeated in 2 weeks intervall, for 4 times.

Strong UV protection is essential after and during treatment.

Skintech TCA - Deep peeling with trichloroacetic acid

100 000

Skintech TCA (Trichloroacetic acid 15%) peeling is recommended for the treatment of pigmentation occurring after inflammatory skin disorders or sunburn and for the renewal of ageing or severely photoaged skin (Glogau I-IV).

We recommend this treatment for patient who want effective but safe intervention. This peeling is safely applied for neck and decolletage or even on the hairless scalp.

A repetition of 4 treatment session is recommended usually to achieve final result: 1/week for the face, or every 2nd week for other body parts.

We do suggest using solar protection during and 6 weeks after the treatment.

Photorejuvenation, rosacea, and hyperpigmentation treatment– E-light technology

E-light technology is a recommended therapy for sun damaged skin, rosacea and hyperpigmentosis treatment, because the IPL’s polychromatic light reaches multiple pigments in human skin and results in selective photothermolysis of the target, which can be either blood vessels or pigmented cells.
Due to the treatment diluted vessels typical for grade II. rosacea decrease, hyperpigmentation fades and keratoses disappear. Furthermore due to the connective tissue rejuvenating effect of the device, the skin tightens.
It is good to know, that these skin conditions are progressive and need multi-targeted treatments. However, the complete recovery is never possible but with proper lifestyle long term symptom free periods and the halt of progression can be seen.
We recommend using E-light during autumn, winter, and spring time, once a month, depending on the initial skin condition.
This treatment is not recommended in the case of suntanned skin because of the possible side effects.
Before the first E-light treatment a dermatological consultation is done, the fee of which is included in the first session which occurres within 1 month.

Promo Italia Happy Lift™

A Promo Italia Happy Lift™ utilises a very small barbed surgical suture made of a patented reabsorbable material to lift and support the droopy areas of the brow, cheeks, face and neck. Threads are inserted in precise locations using a needle via a very small incision. Once inserted under the skin layers, the barbs open in an umbrella like fashion to form a support structure that lifts and repositions the tissues into a more vertical and youthful position. Uniquely the Promo Italia Threads are secured in deeper tissue. This anchor supports the lift during the adjustment process and the months after. The threads are re-absorbable over 12-18 months, but the body’s own collagen formation around the thread maintains the hold.

Promo Italia Happy Lift™ are used to:

  •     Lift sagging eyebrows
  •     Adjust asymmetric eyebrows
  •     Reposition sagging cheeks
  •     Lift drooping soft tissue and jowls  of the mid and lower face
  •     Smooth out and revitalize premature skin aging

RADIESSE®  - Natural Collagen Stimulation and Long-lasting Results.- face and hands

What are RADIESSE® and RADIESSE® (+)?

RADIESSE® and RADIESSE® (+) are dermal fillers that are used for smoothing moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as nasolabial folds (the creases that extend from the corner of your nose to the corner of your mouth). RADIESSE® is also used for correcting volume loss in the back of the hands.

RADIESSE is a wrinkle filler used to plump the skin. RADIESSE is injected through a small needle and placed under the skin. Immediately, this filler works to add volume under the skin and over time, the benefits of RADIESSE continue by stimulating your body’s own natural collagen. The natural results have been shown to last a year or more in many patients, making the treatment results both immediate and long lasting.

RADIESSE is comprised of Calcium Hydroxylapatite (CaHA) microspheres suspended in an aqueous gel carrier.

Once injected, it provides immediate volume and correction but continues to work by stimulating the body to produce its own natural collagen.

Over time, the gel is absorbed and the body metabolizes the CaHA microspheres leaving behind only your own natural collagen.

Why choose RADIESSE?

  1. RADIESSE immediately replenishes lost volume and stimulates the production of your own natural collagen with results that can last a year or more in many patients.
  2. Over time, the gel is absorbed and the body metabolizes the CaHA microspheres leaving behind only your own natural collagen.
  3. RADIESSE is clinically proven to last a year or more in many patients.
  4. RADIESSE provides results with high patient satisfaction.
  5. RADIESSE is FDA approved to mix with lidocaine, an anesthetic, to significantly reduce injection-related pain
  6. RADIESSE is a viable option to help provide a long-lasting natural look while immediately smoothing wrinkles.

RADIESSE can be injected in the following locations*:

  1. Smile lines: also called the nasolabial folds, are the lines that run from the corners of the nose to the corners of the mouth
  2. Marionette lines: the lines that run downward from the corners of the mouth
  3. Corners of the mouth: also called the oral commissure, if these are turned downward it can make you look as though you’re frowning
  4. Pre-jowl fold: the area on either side of the chin, where skin can sag due to loss of facial volume
  5. Chin wrinkles: horizontal lines that can form on your chin and distract from your smile
  6. *RADIESSE is FDA-approved for correction of moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as nasolabial folds.

What makes Radiesse different from other dermal fillers?

RADIESSE is the only dermal filler available composed of calcium-based microspheres, and has been shown to stimulate the natural production of collagen, for results that may last up to a year or more in many patients.Additionally, in clinical studies with leading hyaluronic acid injectable dermal fillers, results showed that RADIESSE patients were more satisfied with their results than patients treated with other leading wrinkle fillers. In addition, 30% less RADIESSE may be needed for correction when compared to Perlane® injectable gel.

Who should not use RADIESSE® or RADIESSE® (+)?

You should not use RADIESSE® or RADIESSE® (+) if you have an allergy to any component of the product, if you have a history of severe allergies, if you have a bleeding disorder, or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. You should not use RADIESSE® (+) if you have an allergy to lidocaine or medicines like it.

What is the most important information I should know about RADIESSE® and RADIESSE® (+)?

One of the risks with using these products is unintentional injection into a blood vessel. The chances of this happening are very small, but if it does happen, the complications can be serious, and may be permanent. These complications, which have been reported for facial injections, can include vision abnormalities, blindness, stroke, temporary scabs, or permanent scarring of the skin. If you have changes in your vision, signs of a stroke (including sudden difficulty speaking, numbness or weakness in your face, arms, or legs, difficulty walking, face drooping, severe headache, dizziness, or confusion), white appearance of the skin, or unusual pain during or shortly after treatment, you should notify your health care practitioner immediately.

As with all procedures that involve an injection through the skin, there is a risk of infection.

Do not use RADIESSE® or RADIESSE® (+) if you have a skin infection until it has healed.

It is not known if RADIESSE® or RADIESSE® (+) is safe or effective in the lips, or in the area around the eyes.

The microspheres in RADIESSE® and RADIESSE® (+) can be seen in X-rays and CT Scans. It is very important that you tell your health care provider that you have had RADIESSE® or RADIESSE® (+) dermal filler.

If you have a history of herpes, you may experience a herpes breakout after receiving RADIESSE® or RADIESSE® (+).

Injection in the back of the hand may result in temporary difficulty performing activities. RADIESSE® may cause nodules, bumps or lumps in the back of the hand and can last up to 1 year.

You should minimize strenuous activity and avoid extensive sun or heat exposure for about 24 hours after treatment and until any swelling or redness has resolved.

What should I tell my doctor before using RADIESSE® or RADIESSE® (+)?

Tell your health care provider if you are taking blood thinners or medicines that can interfere with the clotting of blood, such as aspirin or warfarin. These medicines might make it more likely that you will experience bruising or bleeding at the injection site. Tell your health care provider if you have any diseases, injuries or disabilities of the hand, if you have a history forming large, raised scars or if you have had any other skin treatments such as skin peels.

What are the most common adverse events with RADIESSE® or RADIESSE® (+)?

The most common adverse events seen in clinical studies of RADIESSE® used in the hands include bruising, redness, swelling, pain, itching, nodules or bumps/lumps, difficulty performing activities, loss of sensation and other local side effects. The most common adverse events seen in clinical studies of RADIESSE® or RADIESSE® (+) used in the face include bruising, redness, swelling, pain, itching and other local side effects.

These are not all of the possible side effects with RADIESSE® or RADIESSE® (+). Merz collects information about adverse events seen with RADIESSE® and RADIESSE® (+) outside of clinical studies. These events are included in the RADIESSE® and RADIESSE® (+) Patient Information Guide based on an assessment of seriousness and potential causal relationship to RADIESSE® or RADIESSE® (+). Please see the Patient Information Guide available at www.radiesse.com for list of these events. Tell your health care provider about any side effects that bother you or do not go away.

Sculptra collagen induction - real results that last

Sculptra Aesthetic is an FDA-approved injectable that helps gradually replace lost collagen — an underlying cause of facial aging — for results that can last more than two years.

It's used to correct shallow to deep facial wrinkles and folds

Why should you choose Sculptra Aesthetic?

Not all treatments or injectables are created the same. Some target different areas of the face, and, more importantly, produce different effects. Collagen stimulators are used to diminish facial wrinkles by helping to restore the deep, underlying structure of the skin. Results appear gradually over the treatment regime (typically three injections over the course of three to four months) and can last up to two years.

As a poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA) collagen stimulator, Sculptra Aesthetic is different. It works with your body within the deep dermis, rather than topically, to help revitalize collagen production and help restore your skin’s inner structure and volume. As the Sculptra Aesthetic PLLA microparticles are absorbed, they help stimulate collagen production. Rebuilt collagen strands begin gradually helping to restore facial volume4 and the look of fullness to wrinkles and folds.

SCULPTRA AESTHETIC MAY STIMULATE COLLAGEN GROWTH WHICH HELPS TO RESTORE FACIAL VOLUME AND THE LOOK OF FULLNESS TO WRINKLES AND FOLDS OVER TIME.

Results appear gradually over the treatment regime (typically three injections over the course of three to four months) and can last up to two years.(*Individual results and treatment sessions may vary. Clinical trial ended at 25 months.)

How does Sculptra Aesthetic work?

Sculptra Aesthetic is made with biocompatible, biodegradable, synthetic material called poly-L- lactic acid, which is gradually and naturally absorbed by the body and helps to rebuild lost collagen through a series of treatments administered by a trained specialist.

The specialist injects treatment within the deep dermis, where strands of collagen support your skin’s structure. Over time, Sculptra Aesthetic helps the body reproduce lost collagen. On average, three injection appointments are needed over a period of a few months. The number of injection appointments and the number of injections per appointment vary from person to person, depending on how much collagen has been lost.

Indication

Sculptra® Aesthetic (injectable poly-L-lactic acid) is indicated for use in people with healthy immune systems as a single regimen for the correction of shallow to deep nasolabial fold contour deficiencies and other facial wrinkles in which deep dermal grid pattern (cross-hatch) injection technique is appropriate.

Sculptra Aesthetic should not be used by people that are allergic to any ingredient of the product or have a history of keloid formation or hypertrophic scarring. Safety has not been established in patients who are pregnant, lactating, breastfeeding, or under 18 years of age.

Sculptra Aesthetic has unique injection requirements and should only be used by a trained physician. Contour deficiencies should not be overcorrected because they are expected to gradually improve after treatment.

Where NOT to inject?

Sculptra Aesthetic should not be injected into the blood vessels as it may cause vascular occlusion, infarction or embolic phenomena. Use at the site of skin sores, cysts, pimples, rashes, hives or infection should be postponed until healing is complete. Sculptra Aestheticshould not be injected into the red area (vermillion) of the lip or in the peri-orbital area.

The most common side effects after initial treatment include injection site swelling, tenderness, redness, pain, bruising, bleeding, itching and lumps. Other side effects may include small lumps under the skin that are sometimes noticeable when pressing on the treated area. Larger lumps, some with delayed onset with or without inflammation or skin discoloration, have also been reported.

Sculptra Aesthetic is available only through a licensed practitioner.

What to expect after treatment?

In the days following your treatments, keep a few things in mind for swift healing and optimum results.

A cold pack or ice pack will help reduce any common swelling. Within the first 24 hours of treatment, apply a cloth-wrapped cold pack to the treated area for a few minutes at a time. Never apply ice directly to the skin.

Massage the treated area for five minutes five times a day for five days after treatment, as recommended by your physician.

After treatment, excessive sunlight and UV lamp exposure should be avoided until any initial swelling and redness go away. Your doctor will provide guidelines on sunscreen protection and how to avoid excessive sunlight.

PLEASE CALL YOUR DOCTOR IF YOU HAVE ANY CONCERNS AFTER TREATMENT OR IF YOU EXPERIENCE ANY SIDE EFFECTS.

Remember, you won’t see dramatic improvement immediately after treatment. Sculptra Aesthetic works subtly, improving facial areas gradually without making it

look like you’ve had work done. To achieve full results, be sure to keep any follow-up appointments in your treatment series.

Why Sunless Tanning?

Sunless tanning can give you an instantaneous beautiful golden brown tanned look without exposing the skin to harmful ultraviolet (UV) rays.

How does it work?

It is a natural tanning process, where an organic sugar extract (DHA) applied to the skin and chemically reacts with amino acids in the upper layer of the skin and turns it brown. The actual tanning process takes only a few minutes. The actual tan needs around 8 hours to develop. The tan lasts up to 7-10 days.

Why is it healthy?

Huge advantage of the tanning process is that the skin is not exposed to UVA and UVB rays.

Wrinkles around the mouth

As you age, you will find wrinkles appearing in different areas of your face like the forehead, below the eyes, between eyebrows and wrinkles around mouth. While everyone eventually gets these, women are more prone to developing wrinkles around the mouth because their structure of skin is different from men. Like most of the other wrinkles, wrinkles around the mouth, also called perioral wrinkles, are caused by age, genetics, sun exposure and smoking.

Perhaps the idea Botox or cosmetic fillers has crossed your mind, but you may be concerned about the side effects. We offer you different, connective tissue regenerating techniques which can soften or even make dissapear these wrinkles.

Usually several treatments and combination of treatments can be effective.

In early forms of the wrinkle formation mild or deep peelings, fine thread contouring treatment, radiofequency, microneedeling or soft hyaluronic acid fillers can be effective.

In advanced forms only the semi-invasive interventions, like pixel peel, or the sublimation of the cormeocytes with Plexr technology is effective.

Skin tightening with Radiofrequency (RF)

15 000

The idea behind using RF on the skin is its ability to deliver heat to depth. During the treatment a constant 40-43ᵒC is obtained in the dermis causing collagen remodelling and local metabolism acceleration. RF – in contrast with IPL – can reach the deeper dermal and subdermal layers so it is the main tool in skin tightening treatments.

Right after the treatment a prompt transient tightening is visible, but the main result- the new collagen and elastin fiber formation – is first seen after one month. Repeated sessions are recommended, once a week, for at least a one month period, depending on the initial skin condition and life style. To reach an optimal result we recommend to have one session per week, for 4 weeks and a follow up monthly.

This treatment is recommended for botox treated patients, for patient with a needle phobia or patients who would like lunch time treatments.

A big advantage of the treatment is, that it can be applied even during the summer, or on pigmented skin, and it is not photosensitising the treated area.
